On this basis, the Chinese painting & calligraphy mounting technology with unfailing art charm is applied to the facture of the Olympic emblemrubbings to enrich the presentation of the emblem to exhibit the charm of Chinese nation in the treasure-house of world culture. Now I'am all ears for your knowledge about the Emblem of 2008 olympics in Beijing. 2008 Olympics
I didn't get to watch as much as I wanted to this year, plus I think the tv networks only show the really popular sports, when there is so many more "smaller" sports that are just as exciting.I just stumbled across this website this morning that has three pages of beautiful pictures taken at the Olympics:http://www.vkmag.com/galleries/gallery_olympische_spelen_2008_in_fotos_part_1/These pictures I think captured the true meaning of the Olympics and I don't think NBC did that this time around.
Rhythmic gymnastics at the 2008 Olympics--did you watch them?
I only caught part of the rhythmic gymnasts' performances. But, wow, they were so awesome! They carried a baton with a really long ribbon (12 feet?) and then they wave it around while they are sort of dancing (like ballet) and it is just beautiful. I loved it. I wish I would have gotten to see all of their performances. They were quite fascinating.Did you see them? What did you think of this sport?
Can India get another medal in this 2008 olympics?
i certainly feel that India has a chance in boxing. Do you think that India will win another medal in this Olympics. And what medal will it be? I certainly hope that India can get a gold medal itself, which will be quite an achievement.[em]happy[/em] All the best to our 2 champion boxers. All the best Team India[em]thumbup[/em] Is there some other sport where India still have a medal hope? Sadly we had a lot of people bowing out in the quarter finals this time, including saina, lee-hesh, wrestlers, boxers.. I hope someone really converts one more into a medal. Hopefully a GOLD[em]happy[/em]
Before it was terrible. Now THE 2008 OLYMPICS AINT WORTH S**T!!!!!
For those of you who are familiar with my discussions lately, I have been extremely upset with the Chines government and anyone else in charge of helping with the 2008 Olympic games in Beijing, China. The way that innocent families were forced to sacrifice their daughters due to their looks, people being killed, pollution etc. Some of these things couldnt be helped others could have been handled differently. But last night I truly saw the Olympics for what they were. A fraud. Yesterday was the girls individual events in gymnastics. Alicia Sacramone did her vaults with few minor errors and was penalized extremely. Mind you that she didnt fall or anything. Now up comes China's gymnast and the girls vault had a high difficulty level. When she completes the vault she falls to her knees. This is a major deduction of points. According to the olympic sports analysts, with all the errors the chinese gymnast had it should've taken her down a full point and a half below all other girls. NOT She got a medal and Alicia didnt. WHAT? How fair is that? Bella Carolli was with the olympic analysts and said he had never before seen such an injustice. He was literally crying. COme on! How fair is...

Only Two Teams at the 2008 Olympics? China and the United States.
From the coverage of the 2008 Olympics on network television, it would appear that there are only two teams competing: China and the United States. By limiting the viewer’s choices of events and teams, how can brotherhood among nations prevail at the games? The focus of the games should be the various options for competition. In this way the Games could demonstrate the strengths and weaknesses of each country. We only observe events where the United States performs well, and this may prove detrimental to the role of sport in the world.
2008 Olympics
The Olympics are again providing a distraction to the madness of life in the US of A. Specifically, the process to elect the POTUS, the President of the United States. Maybe the democratic parties should use systems similar to what the Chinese use to select their athletes for a predetermined life. No, wait... We had that system, didn't we? It was "kingship", as national leaders were spawned from royal families. Oh, well...
